Abubilla Co-vid Music Project
During the initial lockdown period of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the beginning of what was a long stint of self-isolation, we realised that a lot of artists were stuck at home without work and without their usual means of creating and connecting. In order to help with this situation, we decided to begin a collaboration project with artists of all kinds.
Our aims were to:
Provide a way for artists to carry on creating and getting paid for their work.
Help artists to connect with one another and showcasing the results of these collaborations to help us all feel a sense of community.
We released two briefs over the summer months, linking together our creative team with other musicians, videographers, visual artists, animators, dancers…. anyone stuck at home who wanted to nurture their need to create and connect. Below is a selection of work from featured artists, and you can see all of the entries at the bottom of this page.
